ALIA--IT'S YOUR DAY!!!!
(:Happy birthday Alia.:) What a great day to be five. Let me tell a story about Alia. On May 31, 2006 her mother and father left early for the hospital because this was the day she was going to be born by appointment. No guessing the day, it was already set. Grandma Kempe and Grandma Hall were left at home to take care of Kobin and Jessica. We left in the morning to do a little shopping and stopped to eat at Burger King in Sikeston while we waited for that phone call. As we finished lunch the call came. Alia was here!! and she was doing fine!! We jumped into the car and drove to Cape Girardeau to see her.
What a darling little girl. She was so pink and pretty and wrapped up tight in a blanket in her mother's arms. It was so fun for each of us to hold her and rock her and say, "Hi, Alia. Welcome to the family."
In a few days Alia came home to live. She was so tiny and cute. She slept all day and sometimes she slept at night, too. Mommy was very tired and sore because she had surgery so for a few nights she slept in the big lounge chair and one or another grandma slept in the big waterbed so we could get up when she woke up to eat and give her to Mommy. That way Daddy could sleep so he could go to work. Then we would change her diaper and rock her if she didn't go back to sleep.
It was so much fun to have this sweet baby girl in the family. We all love her and wish her the very best, happiest birthday in the world

Alia in Springtime
We took this photo a few days ago. Everyone at church said she looked like a princess. Of course, she loved that!
